"I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years, unless we spread into space. There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet. But I'm an optimist. We will reach out to the stars and create a world where we can live in harmony with nature."

THE THREE QUOTES

Stephen Hawking

“I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years, unless we spread into space. There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet. But I'm an optimist. We will reach out to the stars”

"Colonies in space may be only hope, says Hawking" by Roger Highfield in Daily Telegraph (16 October 2001)

Florence Nightingale

“The progressive world is necessarily divided into two classes — those who take the best of what there is and enjoy it — those who wish for something better and try to create it. Without these two classes the world would be badly off. They are the very conditions of progress, both the one and the other. Were there none who were discontented with what they have, the world would never reach anything better. ”

Cassandra (1860)

Jane Goodall

“My mission is to create a world where we can live in harmony with nature. ”

SKETCHUP ANIMATIONS

FINAL MODEL

After finding how much I didn't like the sphere on the top, I ended up returning to the half sphere idea. I also changed the studio below, making the boxes larger and removing the double up. Instead I added a 'central' space on the bottom, so that all 4 spaces connect to that place. Some other details were also added to touch up the model.

Short Video: DMC4

This video allowed me to view different techniques that can be used for animating as well as the many transitions between scenes.
